Opening

My toddler is fascinated by flowers at the moment, on this cold
wintry day he has spent time engrossed in the leaves and pink petals of
the little potted cyclamen on our table. He loves the pink colour. He
is most curious about is the buds; we are watching daily for the flowers
to open. Although he is being very patient, I thought it might help him
to see this.

He watched open mouthed. Cooing at some, squealing at others, ‘open!’

It seemed the perfect thing to share here, for those of you with
curious children and particularly for mums preparing to open too. I love
seeing how the shapes change of all these beautiful blooms. A reminder
of how natural it is to change and transition and open.
