Pregnancy Support in Frome:

for when you need space to breathe and adapt

· Frome,pregnancy,pelvis,massage,Support

Pregnancy is ordinary, miraculous and disorientating - all at once.

There’s a story we’re sold that you’ll glow, feel bonded, and feel grateful every moment. That you’ll somehow know what to do. That you’ll feel “ready.”

But that’s not how it is for everyone.

Sometimes what rises up is fear. Or tension. Or questions that don’t have tidy answers.

And sometimes what you need isn’t more advice — it’s space.

Space to feel. Space to soften. Space to come back to yourself.

At Frome Osteopathy and Wellbeing, I offer three types of support for pregnancy: massage, movement, and coaching, all rooted in the belief that your body holds wisdom and you don’t need to be ‘fixed’. You need the right kind of support to feel more resourced.

Collaborative Care at Frome Osteopathy Practice

You're not in this alone. At Frome Osteopathy and Wellbeing, you can also access specialist osteopathy treatments for pregnancy, as well as counselling for issues that might come up when you're expecting, alongside the work I offer there.

That means:

  • You can address pain, posture, or joint issues through clinical osteopathic care
  • You can combine this with body-based coaching, talk therapy, massage, or pelvic support to tend to the nervous system and emotional load
  • You get a joined-up experience that recognises your whole system

Many people work with both myself and an osteopath at different points in their pregnancy journey. You don’t have to choose one kind of support — we’re all part of the same ecosystem of care.

I’m Emilie, I'm a movement educator, massage therapist, and trauma-aware birth coach/doula based at Frome Osteopathy and Wellbeing. I'm based here on the Somerset-Wilshire border but also work in Bristol, Bath and online (sadly massage doesn't work over the internet!).

Emilie Joy Rowell talking to a pregnant client about pelvic wellbeing, posture and coping with the changes that come with pregnancy. Emilie's holding an anatomical model of a pelvis, her client is in the first trimester she looks relaxed and is smiling. They are both blonde women and are standing in a room next to a green leaft plant.

Pregnancy Massage in Frome:

Time & Space for Relaxation

This is not spa fluff or injury recovery. It’s something else.

Pregnancy massage with me is:

  • A gentle invitation to come home to your body
  • Time to let go, ease tightness, soften breath, and rest your busy brain
  • A place where you don’t have to be “on” or “coping”

Yes, massage may help with back pain, swelling, or sleep, but the deeper work is in the nervous system. Taking time to slow down. To feel held. To come back to the body that’s doing so much, quiet, big work while you grow your baby.

Some people choose to chat, some rest into silence.

Pelvic Awareness & Biomechanics in Frome:

Move With More Confidence

You don’t need to be an anatomy nerd to benefit from pelvic coaching. And you don’t need a diagnosis, either.

These 1:1 sessions offer simple, embodied support to:

  • Improve your comfort and mobility.
  • Support baby’s positioning through gentle, everyday movement.
  • Get familiar with upright, active positions for labour (if you are ready for birth prep).
  • Build more awareness and ease around your pelvic floor.

This approach is more about learning more about your body and its capacity, not for control, but for responsiveness and adaptability.

Some people come for alignment. Some come with tension. Some come with curiosity. That’s all welcome here; there doesn’t need to be a specific problem to address, and you don’t need any prior knowledge.

Embodied Coaching in Frome:
For Fear & Inner Noise in Pregnancy

Not all fear is unhelpful. Some fears are ancient and built on self-preservation as mammals. Some is protective and useful. And some is cultural stuff we’ve absorbed without even knowing it.

Coaching sessions offer a space to:

  • Acknowledge fears and worries, without judgment
  • Explore tools that support your nervous system
  • Find clarity in the choices ahead through birth, the support you need, identity shifts, and changes to family dynamics.

This is less about mindset and more about embodied orientation. Which means it’s not about exploring your past and your stories, and more about your patterns and reactions, plus what you can do to resource yourself more.

Sessions are grounded, trauma-aware, and led by what’s alive for you.

Looking Ahead?

I also offer birth preparation sessions, deepening the coaching work with hypnobirthing and anatomy-based birth coaching for a rounded mind and body approach to meeting your baby.
