Calm, confident mind-body birth preparation
Looking for guidance on how to get into 'oxytocin bubble' that your NCT or midwifery led antenatal classes have mentioned?
But you're sitting there feeling nervous and unsure of how to get there?
You're in exactly the right place.
This approach combines deep relaxation techniques with embodiment practices to help you feel calm and grounded.
I'll teach you a range of accessible tools to access during different stages of birth that can help you and your birth partner meet labour with a deeper sense of self trust, presence and resilience.
It's not all floaty-calm, you'll get some solid, badass tools for when things don't go to plan. Not only a gamechanger for birth, but for the ride that is life with a newborn.
• REDUCE YOUR WORRIES AROUND BIRTH
• GAIN CONFIDENCE IN YOUR PATH, YOUR OPTIONS AND CHOICES
• WORK WITH YOUR PARTER AND BEGIN PREPARING TOGETHER.
"Highly recommend Emilie. She’s very knowledgeable, supportive and welcoming.
I got a lot from doing her classes."
‘Being fully present from one moment to the next during labour requires courage, concentration and the love and support of the people around you.’

Why hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing is a childbirth preparation method that uses self-hypnosis, (a.k.a deep relaxation) techniques to manage pain and fear during labour and delivery.
The idea is that by managing levels of stress hormones, you can give yourself the best chance of allowing the body's in-built system to set you up for a good birth. Techniques are simple and adaptable to different people and different birth situations, you don't need to have any particular skills, knowledge or experience already.
This short course is trauma-informed and nervous system aware. We'll not be exploring the 'what happens' in labour as much as the 'how'. And that means there will be things to practice at home. You'll need a few mins a few times a day, plus time to relax (which can be drifing off to sleep at night listening to a recording).
I wish I could magic you a guaranteed birth experience after a one-day workshop, but I can't! To be honest, if anyone promises you that (even after £5k and a 3 month course, I'd be sceptical). The good news is that practicing these simple things can be really life-changing. They are tools for life, that can help you stay calm when life takes an unexpected turn.
I'm Emilie, a doula, coach, antenatal and yoga teacher with over 17 years experience of working with birthing families.
Through this course, we'll explore how the mind and body work together in ways that help you understand what's happening when and why.
You'll get practical experience of a range of tools that can be used at different satges of labour, as well as access to a bank of resources that you can use to explore and deepen your learning at home.
